Born Scoopton E. Bates, Scoop began his music career at the ripe old age of 17 with the purchase of his first bass. Destined to be the next Ned's Atomic Dustbin, his career took a different turn in college when he and fellow college punk rockers formed the now infamous Cereal Box Killers. He soon learned there were two lower strings, named E and A and that sometimes bass chords weren't appropriate.

After 4 and a half years of punk rock greatness, CBK performed a post graduation break up. Scoop learned of the break up on stage at the last show. Heart broken and depressed, he retreated to his North Austin home and put down the bass for it's six string relative.

Thus all save one was formed in early 2001. after spending 2 years recording demos at home, fellow CBK member Justin Smith signed on to help produce what would become the Flux E.P. While also lending his drumming and bass skills, the combo turned out a great little rock E.P.

In the wake of the Flux E.P. Scoop's music was beggining to take a different turn. It was always intended for all save one to be a full band, but after writing and playing songs for so long as a solo act it became clear all save one was intended to be a solo act. So the songs became more acoustic driven, and Delicate Constitution is the end result.

The latest release The Leap Home E.P. includes some new and old rock tunes continuing ASOs genre ambiguity. The next album, Armchair Splendor, will be a showcase of new songs, some acoutic, some rock, some electronic? The recording process however will be a little different... ASO plans to post songs as they're developed and provide insight into the recording process.

Scoop graduated from Granbury High School in 1996 and from the Univerisity of Texas at Austin in 2000. As you might have suspected by listening to his music, he has no professional training.

OPPOSITE WARLORD PRODUCTIONS.....A POWERFUL AND SILENT MOVEMENT OF PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL INNOVATION...ARTISTICALLY AND VERBALLY AGGRESSIVE....POLITICALLY AWARE AND DEEPER...THE VOICE OF THE LOST AMERICAN PEOPLE...THE RESTISTANCE TO THE PAST PLANNING AND CONTROLLING OF SUCH CURRENT SHEEP-LIKE GENERATIONS, BRED TO ONLY SHARE THE EXACT SAME THOUGHTS....WAKE UP PEOPLE..
